"It's your fault," replied the teacher.
"What mistake? What am I missing?" asked the student.
"Come with me, and I'll show you."
The teacher called another disciple who was blind, and all three went up the mountain, at a point where a narrow tree trunk had been thrown over a cliff.
"Cross!" said the teacher in the first Monaco.
The poor man looked at the bottom of the ravine, the weak trunk and said, "I can not: I'm afraid." The master
turned to the blind disciple and gave him the same order. The
Monaco through the ravine without hesitation.
"Do you understand?" asked the master to the first Monaco.
